About the Art

In our time of rapid and constant change in a busy, noisy and demanding existence, a concern I’ve held to is that as we strive for and achieve “modernization”, we are distancing ourselves from our traditions, our foundations and our private, intimate selves.   My more than three decade odyssey with a camera has been to preserve glimpses of our cultural traditions of strength and dedication to pride of our foundations and to provide intimate glimpses into our everyday environment to achieve a peaceful, quiet and intimate moment of solitude.  My latest foray has been to preserve modern day hieroglyphics/Railroad Graffiti that pass through our everyday environment or that we only glance at in the quickness of our everyday life so that we may marvel at the mystic and spiritualness of the need for man to leave his mark, to preserve his existence.
